MARANG, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- SME Corp Malaysia will send three best participants of Tunas Usahawan Belia Bumiputera (TUBE 2.0) for World Boot Camp programme in New Jersey, US next year.
Deputy Chairman of Entrepreneur Development Foundation Terengganu, Mohd Iskandar Jaafar, said the programme aimed to expose the selected participants to the world of entrepreneurship and the business start-ups at the global level.
He said the state government wanted to see the participants, who were mostly youths, to be ambitious in wanting to succeed and not to become only local entrepreneurs but one of global standard.
"Early exposure is important so that they can see what business they want to pursue," he said.
Mohd Iskandar said this to reporters after closing the TUBE 2.0 programme here Sunday.
Meanwhile, Director of SME Corp Terengganu, Muhammad Ibrahim, said young entrepreneurs trained under TUBE 2.0 would help contribute to the set-up of better businesses, which was one of the aims of the SME Masterplan (2012-2020).
"SME Corp is always committed to offer assistance to TUBE 2.0 participants," he said.
